Sophia Testa

In the winter of 2016, Sophia's world was turned right side up, shortly after she began painting her prayers. Sophia gave her heart over to the authority of Jesus then and in early 2017 moved to Austin to start a new job as an ICU nurse. She did not know what to do with all things disappointing, painful, and disturbing so she started to bring her anxieties, confusion, and desires to God through prayerful painting.

 

As grace would have it, Sophia would get to know more of Him in the process. Her work honors both humanity and divinity and she loves it that way. Her hope is to create intentional artwork for meaningful spaces that will be cherished for years to come. She has set her sights on this promise given in Joel 2:25

"I will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten." May this body of work bless and inspire you, your family, friends, and neighbors in an otherworldly way.
